CANOA OINOCHOA PERLA PITCHER

At first glance, this unique decorative piece could pass as an ancient amphora pulled from a sunken Greek galleon deep in the Aegean. At closer inspection, we see something new, contemporary, and totally unique.  Nuanced variations of glazing made after years of experimenting with beeswax and other non-toxic materials, brushed on to a rhizomatic textured stoneware surface, plaster casted and accentuated with a local grog (fired and crushed clay)—this is no ordinary piece. Each slightly different and one of a kind, all lovingly conceived and sustainably made by artists, Raquel and Pedro, founders of Canoa Labs in Valencia, Spain.

*This piece can be used as a water pitcher, but it is recommended that you put it over a coaster on any wooden surface. Due to their unique creation process, slight variations will occur within each piece.
